Educational Courses
- NRA Courses
-
The goal of our NRA Firearm Training Program is to provide a
comprehensive package of courses designed to help both beginning and
advanced shooters improve their skills in the shooting sports, including
safe gun handling; marksmanship for hunting; earning a merit badge;
competitive shooting at the local, state, or national level; and weekend
recreation. It's not just shooters who need to know and practice safe gun
handling--other potential students are collectors, gunsmiths, retail sales
associates, and anyone interested in running a safe range.
- Hunting Courses
-
Learning the correct way to hunt for a particular type of wildlife
not only improves your chances of being successful on your hunt , it also
increases the fun and excitement of that outdoor recreation. Our
hunting courses are designed to take you step by step from the basics to the
advanced. Our Instructors are experts in their field.
- Habitat & Wildlife Management
-
Understanding and having an appreciation for how wildlife live and
in the wild and their needs is the basis for these courses. These
courses are designed to first educate you on the specific habitat
requirements for 6 of the most popular game birds or animals. Second,
we focus in on one specific gamebird and animal of your choice and proceed
to develop a plan for habitat and "best management practices" for them.
This enables the student to acquire the tools and information needed to
begin work on a wildlife management program of their own.
Wingshooting School
Learning the correct way to shoot a shotgun,
understanding shot patterns, and determining the distance to your target are
the three main objectives to any wingshooting program. Our program at
Woodduck Alley goes one step further. We simulate real field situations that
enables the hunter to improve his or her self confidence in the sport.
