Hunting Courses I have heard over the years many people say: " hunting sounds like it may be fun, BUT, I don't know anything about it and I am NOT going to go out there and make a fool of myself or get hurt." This very statement was the driving force for Woodduck Alley to put together a group of basic hunting courses deigned for the novice and/or the beginner hunter. These courses present basic knowledge and skills that are necessary to participate in that type of hunting. We discuss and demonstrate the different types of equipment used for that specific hunting sport as well as give the participant the opportunity to have hands-on time with the equipment or to practice the skill. We review and discuss the basic rules and etiquettes of the sport. Our goal is to provide you with the knowledge and skills sufficient for you to begin your hunting experience without the pressures of competition or performance anxiety. We also offer advanced classes in each of these disciplines for the hunter who wants to sharpen his/her skills. Courses Available in 2007:

There are many methods to hunt and harvest the Whitetail Deer. Woodduck Alley has put together this course to bring together two of the most popular alternative methods to hunting deer. Muzzleloader and Bow hunting are methods of hunting deer that go back hundreds of years. The equipment has changed and been improved over the years, but the methods and skills necessary to hunt have not. Scouting, tracking, positioning, and marksmanship all play an essential role in the success of the hunt. For more information about this exciting and fun filled course, contact us and we will send you our color brochure. Be sure to ask for this course by name.
Upland Game hunting is the one shooting sport where man and dog must work together to have a successful hunt. This course gets into upland game hunting form the perspective of: First finding or creating the correct habitat for the desired hunting bird. Two, to establish or enhance the shooting skills of the student to be able to hit moving targets. and Three, learning how to work with and integrate the hunting dog into the team equation of hunting. Being able to see how exciting and rewarding it is to work with a bird dog to find and flush out that beautiful Cock Pheasant or startling covey of quail is an experience you will not soon forget.
